Wrought Iron Bookcases
One of the wonderful things about custom bookcases is
that a good craftsman can make them of many different materials.
Although oak and other solid wood bookcases have been the customary
standard for a long time, wrought iron has also been
used where money was not a large concern, such as parts of thethe 19th century
British Library. In the 20th century wrought iron has not been used much, because
of the extreme expense due to handcrafting of wrought iron. Although the
craft of wrought iron bookcases has waned (almost anything
advertised as "wrought iron" nowadays is simply steel, not wrought iron), Molton
Bookcases, although not able to offer wrought iron bookcases, is proud to offer
top quality best
wood and solid wood bookcases.
Anyway, wrought iron could be dangerous for bookcases;
it is extraordinarily heavy, obviously, and therefore it is can injure in
a way that wood is less likely to.
