Maple Bookcases
Maple solid wood bookcases are one of the most popular
choices. Maple is a traditional North American wood for bookshelves; its clean,
"modern" look is also associated with Danish book
cases or the so-called "Scandinavian" style of furniture.
Choosing maple, however, does not preclude you from staining.
Stained furniture that is maple
does require a special ability for the staining, though--maple
is one of the most difficult woods to stain, and a professional and sure hand
is required. We have that expertise; Molton Bookcases has long experience with
all kinds of finishes and woods, including maple bookcases.
Maple is a hardwood; it is available from Canada,
the United States and several other northern countries, although unlike some
other bookshelf woods, it is not grown in the tropics.
