Greene & Greene Bookcases
A very popular modern style of bookcases, the Greene
& Greene style, is actually an old derivation of an older style of
bookcase oold style of bookcase: Arts & Crafts bookcases and Craftsman
bookshelves. The Arts and Crafts Movement was a reaction against what many
thought of as the
impersonality of the Industrial Revolution; Green & Green
were following this earlier style. While Greene & Greene bookcase and
bookshelf proponents designed a specifically American response
to the roots of the Arts & Crafts movement, they
