Bookcase Cabinets
An extremely common interpretation of bookcases is a combination bookcase cabinet. Typically, this is a reduced-height bookcase that is placed on top of, or is integral to, a bottom cabinet. The
bottom cabinet is referred to as a "base cabinet" and is typically one-and-a-half to two times as deep as the bookcase. The top surface of the cabinet can therefore be used as a storage surface, or for more books. The cabinet itself usually has doors with attractive hardware that is chosen to
harmonize with the rest of the home's furnishings. As a result, a bookcase cabinet offers the best of all worlds: combined closed storage for larger items, in the bookcase's cabinet itself, with the classic and elegant look of bookcase storage.
Molton Bookcases is pleased to offer custom bookcase cabinets; we produce many
different kinds of cabinet bookcases, including white bookcases and cherry bookcases, depending
on your desired style and look.
While our calculator for figuring the cost of bookcases does not include bookcase cabinets, because fo their highly variable nature, please contact us for a quote..
